For practicality, we need to look at our KM team resource and how much we can achieve. I try to build in buffer for our KM team members so that they can work on the variable support issues, and on another hand, work on the planned activities to achieve the intended outcomes. Great introduction to a topic I evangalise as well. Based on my experience, I totally agree that the main part of KM initiatives is engaging and motivating the users. We only spend 20% on making the tools as simple as possible; and 80% of the time on promotion; and this promotion is a continuous effort directed to the users and to the management!
